Other information

High tides

High tides can sometimes cover the Strood, the causeway road to the island so please check tide times for the day of your reservation. If the tide is 4.5m or higher, it will probably cover the road and can take 30 to 60 minutes either side of high tide for the road to be passable.

Taxis

We recommend to pre-order a taxi as we cannot guarantee availability on the day and are unable to call for you. Depending on the size of the party, your experience could take a minimum of 2 and a half hours.

***Booking terms and conditions***

Stark is a small, independent restaurant relying upon bookings being honoured by our guests or sufficient notice being given of any required changes to reservations. A deposit of £50 per person is now required, due to so many recent no shows with invalid card details. The deposit will be taken off the bill on the night or refunded to you if you cancel with at least 48 hours notice. We therefore kindly request that diners give us at least 48 hours notification of cancellation, otherwise the full deposit will be retained. Unfortunately, our experience of parties failing to cancel or amend bookings dictates this precaution is now necessary. You will receive an email confirmation once the booking has been successfully made, and again 48 hours prior to your booking time. Please be aware: WE DO NOT CATER FOR ANY ALLERGIES OR DIETARY REQUIREMENTS. You must also be aware that, because of this, our kitchen will never be allergen free. Any reservations by those with allergies are done at the guests’ discretion, risk and understanding of the severity of their condition. For this reason we also strongly advise you bring with you any necessary allergy medication that you may require in the event of a reaction.
